Who we are looking for

We are looking for a smart and detail-oriented student in engineering, computer science, a related technical field, or law*. This is not your average student job. You will work directly on high-profile patent cases that affect global industries – from automotive to artificial intelligence to smart environments (including against Samsung, Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Grok, Tesla, etc.). You will be part of a team of inventors, researchers, and globally renowned patent experts and law firms.

Your responsibilities

• Targeted research on technologies in automotive, AI, mobile devices, and more
• Identification of potential patent infringements within the Giersch portfolio
• Preparation of structured analyses and briefings for our legal and strategy team
• Support in building claim charts and feature-to-claim mappings
• Monitoring industry news, studies, technical manuals, and product releases

Your profile

• Enrolled in engineering, computer science, a related technical discipline, or law*
• Excellent English skills in reading, writing, and presenting
• Strong analytical thinking and passion for precise, investigative detail work
• Ability to understand technical documentation (patents, manuals, whitepapers)
• Interest in intellectual property, tech strategies, and global industry trends

Wir suchen einen klugen und detailorientierten studierenden Menschen aus den Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik oder einem verwandten technischen Bereich oder Jura*. Dies ist kein gewöhnlicher Studentenjob. Du arbeitest direkt an hochkarätigen Patentfällen, die globale Industrien betreffen – von Automotive über Künstliche Intelligenz bis zu Smart Environments (u.a. gegen Samsung, Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Grok, Tesla, etc.) und bist dabei eingebunden in ein Team aus Erfindern, Forschern und weltweit renommierten Patentexperten und -kanzleien.

Deine konkreten Aufgaben

• Zielgerichtete Recherche zu Technologien in Automotive, AI, Mobile Devices u. a.
• Identifikation von möglichen Patentverletzungen im Giersch-Portfolio
• Erstellung strukturierter Analysen und Briefings für unser Legal- und Strategie-Team
• Unterstützung beim Aufbau von Claim Charts und Feature-to-Claim Mappings
• Monitoring von Branchennews, Studien, technischen Handbüchern und Produktreleases

Dein Profil

• Studium in Ingenieurwissenschaften, Informatik oder einem verwandten technischen Fach oder Jura*.
• Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (lesen, schreiben, präsentieren)
• Analytisches Denken und Freude an präziser und investigativer Detailarbeit
• Fähigkeit, technische Dokumentationen (Patente, Handbücher, Whitepapers) zu verstehen
• Interesse an Intellectual Property, Tech-Strategien und globalen Industrieentwicklungen
